The former mayor of Villa Elisa, Ricardo Estigarribia prevails as a candidate for governor for the Coalition while Luis Fernando of the Fuerza Republicana movement will represent the National Republican Association (ANR) in the upcoming elections.
With more than 57% of the votes counted, the former mayor of Villa Elisa, Ricardo Estigarribia, becomes the new representative of the Coalition for Central Government. Estigarribia, who comes from being praised for his management against the Municipality of Villa Elisa, won more than 89,000 votes. In second place, he was for the liberal Óscar Acosta with 27% of the votes.
In the red tents, Luis Fernando managed to triumph with more than 48% of the votes, taking a wide advantage over his opponent Tadeo Rojas de Honor Colorado.
