For “Heart Week” this afternoon organized by Picapiedras
The Salesian social work, with strong roots in the eastern part of the city of Melo through the work carried out by its three projects –Caif, Children’s Club and Youth Center-, is calling the community in general to adhere to the celebration for cardiovascular health care.
A few minutes after the time 14 will be leaving a bicycle that will travel several streets to reach the Zorrilla de San Martín Park.
“We have been doing this activity since last year with an incredible impact and very good accompaniment that arose as a way of joining the heart week” commented the Teacher Monica Veloz.
It arises as a motivator for people in general to take care of their cardiovascular health by performing physical exercise, pointing to sensitization from very early ages.
“This bicycle will depart from the headquarters of the social work Picapiedras in the afternoon shift there that there will be different activities throughout the day” held.
Invitation to many institutions, including Cerro Largo Cycling Club and teaching centers, has been completed.
A bus is expected to come out with younger children and older adults who wish to join the proposal.
The Traffic area of the Intendencia de Cerro Largo will be in charge of care in the circulation while the health issue of the participants will be protected with an ambulance of the cavalry brigade 2. “The Red Cross will also accompany us” highlighted.
“We are going to move to Zorrilla Park. It’s a long stretch to travel, but we’re going to do it quietly” The teacher of the institution said.
“The idea is that young people, plus teenagers, the more the community do the whole bike journey. The little ones who are going to move on bus, when they arrive will make a small walk on a journey in the Zorrilla park and then wait for all the others who will arrive by bicycle. “During the journey, different activities will be made where surprise awards will be awarded” advertisement. “They are going to work for the work motivating for participation and there will be delivered for small gifts for the community that accompanies us in this journey that does not have to go by bicycle. From their homes they can also accompany, leave, motivate and encourage through applause.” pointed out.
The caravan will leave Etanislao de la Vega to take Dr. Apolinario Pérez, then Manuela Lestido to Avenida de las Américas, Avenida España and for this to the waterfront. “This time we are not going to Rivera Park, before the bridge we turn left.
