The Bicentennial Youth Scholarship consists of an initiative that seeks to strengthen and develop technical skills among young people between the ages of 18 and 29 with the aim of increasing their employability for the labor market.
The draw to access the 3,000 scholarships was public and took place on Tuesday, January 17. This was broadcast through the YouTube channel of the aforementioned ministries with the presence of a notary.
“The scholarships were distributed as follows: 1,525 of them were for the sales executive and customer service course; 825 to that of warehouse operator; 575 to the commercial cashier and 75, to the commercial adviser course for telephone sales”, specified the Ministry of Labor.
According to what has been indicated, the people who will take the sales executive and customer service course will develop digital, cognitive, socio-emotional skills (such as communication, teamwork, conflict resolution); integration into the labor market, among others. Likewise, they will obtain skills to apply sales techniques, product promotion and customer service.
“People who are trained in the warehouse operator course will learn techniques for receiving, moving and ordering the goods that enter a warehouse, respecting safety and industrial hygiene regulations, as well as organizing the products, classifying and coding them according to type. and characteristics”, highlighted the ministry.
In the case of young people who chose training as commercial cashiers, they will be able to organize the opening of the assigned cash point, close and count the cash register, apply counterfeit bills and coins counting and detection techniques, apply security measures to prevent fraud, among other work-related activities.
Young people who access training as commercial sales advisors by telephone will be able to use technological tools, digital communication techniques and databases, integrate knowledge, good practices and strategies for the sale and pre-sale of services or products by telephone, apply knowledge, techniques emotional intelligence in customer service, and other similar actions.
Despite the differences between the skills that they will be able to develop and strengthen, all young beneficiaries will receive induction for the use of the virtual platform, an initial diagnosis of their socio-emotional skills, personalized advice to improve employment possibilities, training aligned to what the job requires. labor market, access to job offers and support during the first months of your work experience.
