Bicameral Commission approves in general the proposed regulation of the constituent process

The bicameral Commission of senators and representatives generally approved the proposed regulation for the functioning of the bodies that will participate in the new constituent process.

Specifically, the measure was approved with 18 votes in favour, and a deadline was agreed until next Sunday, January 22 at 12:00 p.m. for the presentation of indications to the secretariat of the Senate Constitution Committee.

The proposal in question was prepared by the secretariats of both Chambers, with the participation of the secretaries of the Constitution commissions of both corporations. What is sought is that on Monday, January 23, the particular analysis of the proposal be resumed from 3:00 p.m. and until full dispatch, so that the text is available to both Chambers from Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25. from January.

The senators members of the instance were present at the session: Luz Ebensperger (UDI), Luciano Cruz Coke (Evópoli), Paulina Núñez (RN), Alfonso de Urresti (PS), Rodrigo Galilea (RN), Francisco Huenchumilla (DC), Loreto Carvajal (PPD), Claudia Pascual (PC) and Matías Walker (Democrats).

Meanwhile, the representatives of the Lower House are: Juan Antonio Coloma (UDI), Diego Schalper (RN), Luis Cuello (PC), Catalina Pérez (RD), Raúl Soto (PPD), Eric Aedo (DC), Tomás de Rementería (PS), Miguel Ángel Calisto (IND-CDU) and Luis Sánchez (Republicans).
