These insurances, as explained by the president of the entity, Casilda Echevarría, “are necessary for the acquisition of mortgage loans and currently represent a requirement that impacts the total cost.”
The agreement “improves the conditions of access to these insurances to make them simpler and more agile.”
It also benefits the parties that make up the credit, since the BHU finances the insurance during the entire period that the loan is extended at a low cost.
Better conditions and better rate
For his part, the president of the BSE, José Amorín Batlle, indicated that in this case “the bank offers life insurance, with which the BSE can take charge of this loan under the most favorable conditions, in the event that those who have requested cannot do so”.
“This allows the BHU to grant loans with better conditions and a better rate,” added the hierarch.
The initiative is added to the reduction in interest rates implemented by the BHU for those who apply for loans anywhere in the country, including rural areas. The entity offers rates starting at 3.75% for the purchase, construction or reform of housing.
In addition to being the only local bank that lends up to 100% of the cost of the property with the presentation of a second guarantee, the BHU offers the most convenient conditions in the market in terms of associated costs.
In this sense, it does not charge a commission for the credit granted and offers the possibility of making partial repayments after two years of requesting the loan.
