Between flowers, songs and his music, Darío Gómez was buried in Medellín

Between white balloons, flowers and singing many of their songs, Darío Gómez, the ‘King of Spite’ in Medellín, was fired.

Hundreds of the artist’s followers gathered in the capital of Antioquia to accompany the remains of the popular music singer for the last time outside the Campos de Paz cemetery and sang several of their hits over and over again.

The funeral procession was received by the artist’s followers in the midst of applause and in unison they heard: “Darío, Darío”. For more than six hours the fans waited for the remains of the artist with posters, caps and t-shirts alluding to his musical history.

With the sounds of trumpets and a street of honor, the Army paid tribute to the ‘King of Spite’ and family and close friends gave him their last goodbye. Singing the song ‘No one is eternal in the world’, they said goodbye to the singer who died at the age of 71.

Meanwhile, in the Santa Gema church, west of Medellinwhere before they participated in a heartfelt ceremony, the artist’s relatives thanked their followers for the tributes they have made all these days.

The body of Darío Gómez was buried under the sculpture of ‘The man in search of peace’ in the cemetery. His family and friends lit a light – flare candle type – in honor of his legacy and the importance of his music in the country.

Before the emotional funeral, the intervention of Esmad outside the cemetery was necessary, since some of the followers they tried to enter an intimate ceremony of the artist’s family.

Let us remember that the ‘King of Spite’ He was in a burning chamber for 26 hours at the Yesid Santos Coliseum. However, it is expected that after his burial this Saturday, July 30, in Medellín, posthumous tributes continue in different municipalities of the department.

Finally, his followers concluded that They will remember him as a simple, humble and above all very talkative man.
