Permanent Commission begins the session to discuss the final report against former prime minister
Having reached the regulatory quorum, the permanent commission began the session of the Permanent Commission in which the final report of the SAC that indicates Betssy Chávez, Willy Huerta, and Roberto Sánchez as co-authors of the crime of rebellion and conspiracy will be discussed.

The working group chaired by the apepista parliamentarian also included in the final report the eventual suspension of Betssy Chávez and Roberto Sánchez as congressmen, while the judicial process lasts. The initiative was raised by the Avanza País congresswoman Norma Yarrowand was unilaterally approved by the president of the head of the SAC.
“In systematic application of articles 89, literal i) and 25 of the Regulations of the Congress of the Republic, include the proposal for the suspension of congressmen Betssy Betzabet Chávez Chino and Roberto Helbert Sánchez Palomino, for the duration of the process, with the possibility of reinstatement if they are acquitted“, is the text incorporated into the final report.
Roberto Sánchez requests a separate vote
the congressman Roberto Sanchez requested the president of the Permanent Commission, Joseph Williams, vote separately on the report that recommends charging him for the alleged commission of the crime of rebellion and alternatively conspiracy.
In the official letter, which dates from March 13, he argues his request based on article 89 of literal f of the Regulations of Parliament, which indicates that “When there are several people included in the investigation, the vote is carried out separately for each of the accused.”
“This letter serves to greet you and in compliance with what is indicated in article 89 literal ‘f’ of the Regulations of the Congress of the Republic, I request that in the session of the Permanent Commission, scheduled for March 14, 2023, vote on the Final report of the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations, regarding constitutional complaint 328, separately for each of the accused,” the document reads.
