The lawyer Javier Adrianzén denounced Supreme Judge Juan Carlos Checkley to expand the period of preventive detention against Expremier Betssy Chávezafter the Constitutional Court (TC) decided the release of the accused by warning that this ruling was irregular.
Adrianzén, who is the legal defender of the coup Pedro Castillo, required the prosecutor of the nation, Delia Espinoza, who imposes the magistrate the crimes of abuse of authority and prevaricate.

The lawyer’s claim includes the Judgment of the TC, notified on September 3, which states that the judge “has transgressed the right not to suffer arbitrary arrests” because he scheduled the hearing to evaluate the request of prosecutor Alcides Chinchay when the first 18 months of preventive detention had already been defeated.
Chinchay filed the application on December 18, 2024, a day before the detention time, and Checkley scheduled the diligence for December 26, eight days later, and issued its resolution the next day granting the tax requirement.

This newspaper communicated with Raúl Noblecilla, a lawyer for Chávez Chino, who greeted his colleague’s decision and announced that he will also denounce Supreme Judge César San Martín, president of the Permanent Criminal Chamber, for having ratified the resolution of Judge Checkley.
