The Mayor of Soriano, Guillermo Besozzi, congratulated the elected president, Yamandú Orsi, after knowing the results of the runoff election.
Besozzi and Orsi have maintained a very good relationship for years, knowing each other since Orsi was Secretary General of the Municipality of Canelones and Besozzi was at the head of the departmental government of Soriano in its first periods, a relationship consolidated when both coincided as communal heads of their respective departments.
