Argentine Eduardo Berizzo made his debut on Monday as coach of the Chilean team with a 2-0 defeat against South Korea, as a visitor, in a friendly.
The match was played in the city of Daejeon and the goals of the local victory were converted by Hwang Hee-chan and Son Heung-Min, the figure of Tottenham in the Premier League and captain of his National Team, in his 100th match.
In the “Roja” Paulo Díaz, defender of River Plate, was the starter, while Eugenio Mena, side of Racing Club, was a substitute but came on to play the last half hour.
In his first match of the cycle, “Toto” Berizzo decided on the absolute debut of goalkeeper Fernando de Paul, a naturalized Chilean from Santa Fe.
The 31-year-old native of the Santa Fe town of Álvarez, made his entire career in Chilean soccer, passed through San Luis de Quillota, University of Chile and currently stands out at Everton.

The Cordovan coach, Marcelo Bielsa’s former assistant, also made his debut for right-back Nayel Mehssatou, born in Belgium to a Chilean mother and a Moroccan father.
And left-back Alex Ibacache also had his presentation, who was sent off for a double warning 7 minutes into the second half.
The only one from Chile’s golden generation who played was Gary Medel.
Chile will play again on Friday at 3:15 in Argentina against Tunisia in the Kirin Cup in Japan: if they win, they will qualify for the final with the winner of the match between the local team and Ghana. If he loses, he will still play for third place with the other loser.
South Korea, rival of Uruguay, Ghana and Portugal in Group H of Qatar 2022, will continue their preparation with two more friendlies: against Paraguay next Friday, and against Egypt on Tuesday 14.
