After the president of Congress, María del Carmen Alva (Popular Action), had a controversial incident this afternoon of February 7 with one of the municipal authorities who came to meet with her and other congressmen in the chamber, the parliamentarian of Free Peru, Guido Bellidoasked him to apologize to them for the way he expressed himself.
“Madam President of Congress, I ask you on behalf of the thousands of mayors of Peru, who represent more than 33 million Peruvians, to publicly apologize to them. It is you who must lower the tone. This is not your house, it belongs to the Peruvians, whom we serve”, he asked through his Twitter account.
The incident happened when the mayor of Ocoña, Marilu Gonzalesexposed his claim regarding a work of his locality.

Immediately, he blamed the head of the Constitution Commission, Patricia Juarezby decrees 086 and 100 that referred to the stoppage of those works.
To the President of Congress, Maria del Carmen Alvahe thought the way Gonzales addressed was disrespectful, so he interrupted her.
“Mayor, in this meeting, you are here in my house. I demand, first, respect. This is a conversation between congressmen, mayors, for the dialogue that I have always said that Congress is open to talk”, said Alva Prieto.

Immediately, he continued: “I must have already met with one of you, but it changes my tone. I will not allow you to be talking that way, because here we are representatives of the people and we do and work for the people. You are totally uninformed.”
The expressions of the acciopopulista were not well received since she raised her voice to her interlocutor, who was expressing her discomfort with what was approved in the Constitution Commission.
