Belgrano de Córdoba was victorious at the end and beat Central Córdoba from Santiago del Estero 1-0, in one of the matches that opened the third date of the Professional League (LPF) tournament.
The only goal of the hot night in the capital of Santiago came 41 minutes into the second period, through a header from Pablo Vegetti, the exclusive goalscorer for ‘Celeste’, with 3 conquests.
In this way, Belgrano provisionally climbed to the top of the standings, with 7 units.
The match, led by Rafael Silvio Trucco, was played at the Madre de Ciudades stadium and was attended by 4,000 supporters of the Barrio Alberdi team, who were able to attend the match as visitors.
With this result, the ‘railroad’ cast continues without winning in the tournament (they didn’t even score a goal) and accumulates just one point, product of a 0-0 loss with Boca Juniors, at La Bombonera.
In the context of an even match and with few risk situations, those led by Guillermo Farré handled the ball slightly better, although it was difficult for them to translate that argument into specific goal situations.
Ulises Sánchez and Ariel Rojas designed correct performances in removing and distributing, but the Cordoba team found it difficult to locate men in goal position, except for shots from outside the area.
Thus, a shot by Compagnucci that required a good response from goalkeeper Ledesma and a cross shot by Vegetti (this time from the edge of the area) that went wide were the clearest opportunities in the first half.
On the home side there were almost no approaches beyond a long shot from Farioli that rushed Nahuel Losada. The Santiago team, which incorporated 20 players in this transfer market, still has a hard time assembling a sustained operation.
In the second period, the level decreased because neither one nor the other were able to bring danger. In that parity diagram, Belgrano always gave the feeling of being more dangerous or, at least, of being the team that was most betting on victory.

Likewise, the tie seemed sealed until, at 41m, a shot by Erik Godoy was slightly deflected by Vegetti, through a header, to declare the victory and the point for ‘Celeste’.
Not even with the entry of Luis ‘Pulga’ Rodríguez was it enough for Central Córdoba to get excited about adding their first joy in the tournament.
