This Thursday, the candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Santiago Peña, carried out his last act of electoral campaign ahead of the elections this Sunday, April 30. The activity was carried out with the presence of thousands of officials from the health sector, who received the commitment from the list 1 applicant.
The last political meeting of list 1 It was held on Thursday night at the IPS Officials and Associates Association (FIPSA) premises. and was attended by almost 10,000 officials from the health sector.
“It has been more than a year of campaigning, of a very tough confrontation, of having understood that democracy requires the confrontation of ideas and thought. But, in the end, the people are the ones who have the last word, ”said Santiago Peña during his speech.

Pena said that is very optimistic about what can be built from the results of April 30 and in that sense, he valued the unity process at various levels within the Colorado Party. He was grateful to everyone who worked for list 1 throughout this campaign time.

He added that he will see to it that there is a real unit and not a “front” within the ANR. “I want to be a symbol of party unity as of August 15 when I am sworn in as President of the Republic of Paraguay,” he emphasized.

“My fight is not done out of hatred for those I am facing, I am fighting for all those who are behind me and want a better Paraguay,” he added.
Regarding his commitment to the health sector, he said that it intends to strengthen the system with more doctors, better salaries and fairer retirements. “A Colorado government is the only one capable of carrying out changes and improvements. The most important thing is not the buildings, nor the equipment, but the people who work to address the precariousness and lack of resources to serve our people”, he said.
