Bees attack people and animals in Palmira

Three residents, two birds and three pigs were attacked by a swarm of bees in a sector of sidewalk 9 in El Abejal, Guásimos municipality (Palmira), Táchira Civil Protection reported.

The report indicates that the situation arose in a home, where officials from the municipal Civil Protection department went, who located two dead poultry and three pigs affected by bee stings on the site.

The Civil Protection teams evaluated the area and confirmed that the swarm was in a ravine near the house and that they had become aggressive after being threatened by the presence of a dog that attacked their hive.

The officials neutralized the insects using soap solution to control and eradicate the hive. Likewise, they proceeded to decontaminate the house. One of the residents was affected without major complications.
