Rosa Lidia del Pozo Sánchez, from the Dominican Republic, mentioned that it is the first time he had the opportunity to know Itaipu and that she was fascinated with everything observed. She described the Hydroelectric Power Plant as “a wonder of the world” and that it was like a dream to meet him up close.

“We are in Paraguay to participate in a forum and we could not miss the opportunity to see this dam. We found out about the opening of the floodgates through social networks and we organized ourselves, among my compatriots, to come ”, he commented.

In addition to these 3,682 foreigners, they have already visited the hydroelectric -since the opening of the gates- 10,469 Paraguayans, totaling 14,151 tourists from different countries, until the end of January.
