José Ignacio Palizapresident of Modern Revolutionary Partyo (PRM), announced that it will propose a resolution to prohibit the formation of presidential projects outside the deadlines established by the Constitution, the Law of Political Parties and the statutes of the ruling party.
The initiative will be presented to the PRM Executive Directorate in January 2025.
In an interview on a program, Paliza explained that his proposal does not seek to limit political aspirations, but rather to guarantee that they are developed within the framework of current regulations.
“Aspirations are legitimate, but they must be organized in accordance with the statutes. “I am convinced that this proposal will be well received by all actors with future projects,” he stated.
He highlighted that both the Constitution and the Law of Parties and the statutes of the PRM establish specific times for the promotion of political candidates and projects, so his initiative seeks to preserve internal order and respect for these rules.

The political leader He revealed that he has already started conversations with some members of the party with a view to the 2028 elections and will continue to dialogue with other actors to socialize the purpose of this regulation.
