The application of announced that it stopped operating in Peru, Mexico and Argentina as of midnight last Wednesday, November 9. In other words, in these countries it will no longer be possible to make trips through the app.

According to a company statement, this would be due to a strategic decision by shareholders to focus on their main European markets. “Our shareholders have made the decision to stop investing in the Latin American region, where Beat operates”he indicated.

In this scenario, it is important to know what are the other alternatives of taxis by application that exist in the Peruvian market and what they offer to users.

What do the other apps offer?

Carlos Andrés Mendoza, general manager of Cabify for Peru & Ecuador, commented for this medium that the company also has other services such as parcel shipments for companies (mobility for corporate travel) and Logistics (logistics services for companies and entrepreneurs).

He added that the app has a multi-stop option, which allows passengers to stop at intervals during trips. In this way, users can make up to three stops per journey in any category.

“This alternative is available for all categories including the Shipping, Logistics and Business services. Regarding the price, it will vary depending on the waiting time and the selected category”, detailed.

How much can a taxi driver earn per application?

Application workers do not have a fixed schedule and can take advantage of their free time to generate money according to the number of races carried out and the drivers’ commission.

“Of the total income generated by a driver user during a trip, Cabify charges differentiated commissions that are calculated according to the area of operation, the number of trips made in the month and the type of vehicle the driver user has. . These commissions, which can be from 9%, are Cabify’s profit and the remaining amount is liquid profit for the driver”, Mendoza said.
