Beach operations will start from January 1 to April 17

More than 300 officials from the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) will participate from January 1 to April 17, 2022 in the beach operation, which will cover the Pacific and Caribbean coasts and some rivers.

Among the officials who will participate in the operation, which will cover 35 points, are paramedics, operation officers and lifeguards from Sinaproc.

In addition, there will be the participation of members of the Panama Fire Department, the National Police and the National Border, Institutional Protection and Air Naval Services.

Sinaproc reminded citizens that they must follow the recommendations of lifeguards and competent authorities during the beach season.

It was also asked not to neglect the children, not to enter the sea after ingesting alcoholic beverages and food, and to try to swim near the lifeguards.

You should avoid swimming near areas where there is maritime traffic (jet skis or boats) and you will have to drink water constantly to avoid dehydration.

Sinaproc recalled that the Covid-19 pandemic still continues, therefore it must maintain biosecurity measures, such as the use of masks, physical distancing and constant hand washing. Above all, the Ministry of Health recommends avoiding crowds and staying in the family bubble.
