Thanks to the work of criminal analysis and police intelligence, it was possible to seize 48.99 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, cash, a digital scale and a cultivation kit.
The consumption of psychoactive substances is a reality that we cannot ignore. Although its use can be pleasant and even medicinal in some cases, it is important to mention that drugs also have negative effects on our health and can generate addiction.
The sale of hallucinogenic mushrooms is an illegal practice in our country. For the same reason, the La Ligua Criminal Investigation Brigade of the Chilean Investigative Police, together with the Public Ministry, managed to arrest a woman who was engaged in this illegal activity.
According to information provided by the PDI, the defendant used social networks to attract potential buyers, and thus, finalize the sale of hallucinogenic mushrooms. After several months of investigation, the detectives managed to compile the necessary background information to be able to carry out his arrest.
At the home of the apprehended, 48.99 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, cash, a digital scale and a cultivation kit were found. Elements that evidenced the commercialization of these substances.
It is important to note that Law 20,000 establishes the regulations on the illicit traffic of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. In the case of hallucinogenic mushrooms, they are among the prohibited species. For this reason, the detainee was made available to the Guarantee Court of La Ligua to be formalized.
