He Credit Bank of Peru (BCP) ruled out the shortage of money at its ATMs and agencies located in Puno as a result of the protests.
“All of our more than 300 agencies and 2,280 ATMs nationwide are supplied and have enough cash to serve all our customers, including Puno and Juliaca,” the financial institution highlighted.
A few days ago, a television program denounced the lack of money supply and it was reported that hundreds of people were queuing at the Banco de la Nación (BN) because there were no bills.
In this regard, the BCP He called for calm to his clients, and the population in general, and pointed out that they are taking the money to the affected areas. “We will continue to carry out all the necessary actions so that our service channels have the necessary cash,” she added.

“During the mobilizations, protests and road closures, the institution continues to work to provide care to people and families in a state of vulnerability, always ensuring the safety of our clients, users and collaborators,” he said.
He explained that the Puno agency, which, despite not receiving money from the transport company, carries out coordinated actions with the Central Reserve Bank of Peru and other financial institutions, to replenish cash, so that it can guarantee attention to more users and clients during these days.
“Faced with the described scenario, it is necessary to reduce the maximum cash withdrawal amounts in places where there are supply restrictions, in order to serve a greater number of citizens. Similarly, some agencies serve intermittently. For this reason, the Banco de la Nación regrets the inconvenience and appeals to the understanding of its clients and users, since, despite the adverse situations, it has not stopped serving ”, he commented.
