BCP launches “Emergency Lock” in BCP Agents to reinforce security against cell phone thefts

He BCP launched the new “Emergency Lock”, a solution available in all BCP Agents nationwide. This option will allow you to block all cards affiliated with the bank immediately and thus protect the money in case the cell phone is stolen or lost.

“According to the Supervisory Body for Private Investment in Telecommunications (OSIPTEL), more than 4 thousand cell phones are currently stolen per day. We know that, in these situations, every second counts. Therefore, thanks to this functionality, any client who has been a victim of theft will be able to approach the nearest BCP Agent and request the total blocking of their BCP cards, both debit and credit, protecting their money immediately and reducing the possibilities of fraud,” said Anna Lenka Jáuregui, Marketing and Communications Manager. of the BCP.

The process is fast, secure and accessible, and only requires the DNI number and PIN code to validate the client’s identity. Furthermore, according to bank data, there are more than 10,000 BCP Agents present in 86% of districts nationwide, which allows this solution to be available to millions of people.
