Registration data linked to PIX keys were accessed via a communication system between judges and the Central Bank (BC). The incident affected the system of search for assets of the Judiciary (Sisbajud), operated by the National Council of Justice (CNJ).
The BC reported the incident on Wednesday (23) at night, but did not report the number of pix keys affected or detailed the types of data accessed.
According to the BC, No sensitive data were exposed, such as passwords, moving information or financial balances in transactional accounts, or any other information under bank secrecy. The municipality reported that the information obtained is of a registration nature, which does not allow movement of resources, nor access to accounts or other financial information. Sisbajud is an electronic tool that allows judges to ask for financial information and block debtor assets. The system replaces the old Bacenjud and facilitates communication between the judiciary and the financial system to comply with court orders.
According to the agency, the details will be provided exclusively by the CNJ, which will publish a channel for consultation by citizens of any exposed data.
The BC reports that it has adopted the necessary actions for the detailed calculation of the case. The agency stressed that the incident has low potential impact for users and that communication is not required by the law. The municipality, however, decided to disclose the occurrence because of the principle of transparency.
Traditionally, BC informs, on a specific page on your websiteall exhibitions and leaks of PIX data.
However, the municipality said that this time the CNJ will disclose the incident on a special page and that the BC will update the “timely” occurrence on its website.
