Fifty SMEs were selected to participate in the second edition of “Measure what matters”, a program organized by BBVA in Peru and System B to promote sustainability in companies in said segment.
The participating entities – from various fields such as consultancies, hotels, restaurants, among others – received a six-week training that allowed them to carry out a diagnosis of their initial state in the B Impact Assessment, a social and environmental measurement and management tool.
Thanks to this evaluation, the participating SMEs were able to identify challenges and opportunities in key dimensions such as governance, workers, clients, community and environment. This information will serve as support in making strategic decisions to enhance their social and/or environmental impact.
“’Measure what matters’ is an invitation for companies to challenge themselves, evaluating their management and rethinking their business models to generate a positive and sustainable impact both within their organizations and in their environment,” comments Mariale Soto. , Executive Director at Sistema B.
“For us, ‘Measure What Matters’ is a clear example of how we can create value for our SME clients, providing them with the necessary tools to strategically manage their sustainability, allowing them to generate a positive impact and increase their competitiveness,” says María del Pilar. Ramírez, Senior Manager of Responsible Business at BBVA Perú.
The launch of the “Measure what matters” program is part of BBVA’s sustainability strategy in Peru, which has among its pillars generating a positive impact through training and awareness among all its stakeholders, including its clients and society in general.
