BB and Caixa announce measures to support female entrepreneurship

This Tuesday (8), International Women’s Day, Banco do Brasil (BB) and Caixa Econômica Federal announced measures to support female entrepreneurship. BB created a platform of direct actions for the female audience. Caixa announced differentiated interest rates and credit contracting facilities during this month.

With 38 million women as customers, Banco do Brasil launched the platform BB for them, with exclusive benefits for the female audience. This week alone, there will be more than 20 offers distributed in three axes: financial solutions, entrepreneurial education and health and well-being.

In the first axis, Banco do Brasil will offer R$ 85 billion in credit, with promotional interest, to more than 3 million women entrepreneurs. The consortium group administration fee will be discounted by 57%. The bank will also offer more than R$90 billion in lines of credit for agribusiness aimed at women.

In entrepreneurial education, BB will promote more than 1,300 professional training courses, with three months of free training, for all customers who register during the launch week of BB pra Elas. In the area of health and well-being, those who register on the platform will have 30 days of medical consultations online free, with guidance on women’s and family health.BB and Caixa announce measures to support female entrepreneurship

Fees

Caixa offers differentiated rates for women entrepreneurs, benefits in specific products and exclusive advantages throughout this month. Loans, insurance and bank services will have special conditions. Companies of all sizes with majority partners or female directors will find it easier to contract credit.

The benefit applies to the credit lines of Crédito Especial Empresa, GiroCaixa Fampe and to the contracting of working capital by large companies. Caixa also offers special conditions for an investment line of credit with a minimum value of R$100,000 for companies run by women or with women as partners.

Other benefits

Customers who purchase Caixa Vida Mulher from Caixa this month will be entitled to elective medical consultations and laboratory and imaging tests on a private network at reduced prices. Individual microentrepreneurs registered as MEI Mulher who earn at least R$ 100 per month will be exempt from renting the machine on an ongoing basis, as long as this minimum billing is reached every month.

The amount is ten times lower than the R$ 10 monthly required from other micro-entrepreneurs. For micro and small companies with mostly women partners, the value for the exemption of the machine rent fell from R$ 20 thousand to R$ 10 thousand per month. For individual customers, Caixa will reduce Caixa Direct Credit (CDC) rates this month by up to 0.08 percentage point per month.
