This Friday, ecopetrol inaugurated its third solar park with the participation of Felipe Bayon, President of the company. “In life the important thing is the institutions, not the people”said the manager after knowing his departure from the oil company, on March 31.

In his first statements after this decision, Bayón pointed out that his departure was a joint decision, in which it was taken into account that he was in the Shareholders’ Meeting and that he could deliver the results of 2022, which are expected to be record.
“This is a milestone, so that all our shareholders have the opportunity to understand the results”, explained. He added that he leaves with the satisfaction of having fulfilled his duty.

He also stated that the company must continue accelerating the energy transition but giving Colombians the fuels they require, “and that the country does not lose energy sovereignty.”
He highlighted as some of his achievements having overcome the pandemic, the acquisition of ISA, internationalization (as in the Permian producing unconventional) and the gas discoveries in the offshore Caribbean.

Regarding what he hopes will continue from his operation, he pointed out that the production of hydrocarbons is essential, because it represents the company’s cash, as well as maintaining and improving security, accelerating gas exploration and discoveries, and accelerating the agenda of transition.
