Bayer and Syngenta commercialize highly dangerous pesticides in the country

The large companies that produce agrochemicals –some of which are part of the National Agricultural Council in Mexico– sell highly hazardous pesticides (HPP), according to a count presented in the report. It indicates that Cyproconazole is a fungicide classified by the European Agency for Chemical Substances and Mixtures (ECHA) as toxic to reproduction; it was found to cause fetal toxicity and induce severe malformations in laboratory animals. In addition, it requires that there are crops that require too much highly dangerous pesticides, among which cereals such as rice, corn and soybeans stand out, as well as fibers such as cotton.
