Bareservas puts into circulation a book about Santo Domingo

“Santo Domingo between walls, memory of a unique city” is the title of the book that the Banco de Reservas put into circulation and which represents a milestone in the dissemination of the historical memory of Santo Domingo.

The work, presented in the Colonial City, includes essays by authors such as Cruz Apestegui, Adolfo López Belando, José Enrique Delmonte, Miguel Reyes Sánchez, Risoris Silvestre Ortiz, Virginia Flores Sasso, Carlos Clemente, Elsy Zaldívar and José Guerrero.

During the presentation, Banreservas CEO Samuel Pereyra said that with this publication the bank reaffirms its commitment to promoting culture and preserving national history.

The ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in the country, Antonio Pérez-Hernández, stressed the historical connection between both countries, and the importance of this type of publication to strengthen these ties.

Carolina Mejía, mayor of the National District, highlighted the book’s contribution to understanding the urban and architectural evolution of Santo Domingo and its value in keeping its historical memory alive.
