Barcelona rules out Dani Alves for the Europa League

Barcelona published this Wednesday the list of players registered to play the Europa League, ruling out veteran Brazilian winger Dani Alves.

The Barça team could only enter, in compliance with UEFA regulations, three of his four signings in the last market window closed on Monday and the Brazilian has been chosen to stay out.

Coach Xavi Hernández has decided to register for the continental tournament to the other three newcomers Adama Traoré, Ferran Torres and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the last to join the Catalan team.

Barça has included 24 first-team players on the list, along with eight footballers from the subsidiary.

Barcelona was eliminated from the Champions League, falling to the Europa League, where on February 17 they will face Naples looking for their pass to the second round of the continental tournament.
