Barcelona expects some income of 1,255 million euros (1,258 million dollars) of income in this 2022/2023 season, according to the budget approved by the club’s board on Monday night.

“The Board of Directors has approved the budget for the 2022/23 season which includes an operating income budget of 1,255 million euros,” the club said in a statement.

The azulgrana budget for this season is also committed to profits of 274 million euros ($274.6 million).

The forecasts made by the club include the capital gains generated by the sale last July of a 15% of television rights of the League to the Sixth Street fund, which, according to the press, amounts to around 400 million euros ($400.4 million).

Also counted towards this season’s budget is the sale of 49% of the audiovisual subsidiary from Barcelona Barça Studios for 200 million euros (200.1 million dollars).

This sale was divided between 24.5% to the Socios.com platform for 100 million euros (100 million dollars) and another sale of the same percentage and amount to the company Media, directed by Jaume Roures, founder of Mediapro.

The 2021/2022 season also closed with a profit of 98 million euros (98.1 million dollars), much higher than the 5 million euros foreseen in the budgets for that year.

Barcelona managed to save the campaign thanks to the sale on the bell of a part of the league audiovisual rights.

The previous year records the capital gains generated by the sale of 10% of television rights from the league to Sixth Street for €207.5 million ($207.6 million).

This operation was closed on June 30the last day of the previous year, which allowed Barcelona to save their accounts from last season.
