Xavi is one of the greatest idols in Barcelona’s history, having played 767 first-team games in 17 years. For the team from Catalonia, he won 25 titles, including 8 editions of the Spanish Championship and 4 of the Champions League.
The former Spanish player was hired to replace the Dutchman Ronald Koeman, who had been much contested for his work, which did not lead to title achievements. Between Xaxi’s arrival and Koeman’s departure, Barcelona were led by interim Sergi Barjuan.
