The Brazilian duo formed by Bárbara Seixas and Carol Solberg won the title of the Elite 16 stage of the World Beach Volleyball Circuit, this Sunday (10) at Copacabana Beach, south of Rio de Janeiro. The achievement was the last act of the partnership, which had already announced, in advance, the end of the team.
Bárbara and Carol’s last title was won over Americans Terese Cannon and Megan Kraft. The Brazilians won the match by 2 sets to 0 (21/17 and 21/18).
Bárbara Seixas and Carol Solberg have worked together for the last three years, representing Brazil in events such as the Olympic Games in Paris (France), a competition in which they reached the round of 16.
Since the beginning of the partnership, in 2020, Bárbara and Carol have celebrated several achievements, such as the 2021 edition of the Brazilian Circuit of the sport. In 2023 they won silver in the Elite 16 stage in João Pessoa (PB), while in the current season of the World Tour they secured the title in the Doha (Qatar) stage and bronze in the Tepic (Mexico) stage.
Also this Sunday in the competition held in Rio de Janeiro, the bronze medal went to another team from Brazil, Thâmela and Vic, who defeated the Germans Ittlinger and Van De Velde by 2 sets to 0 (21/19 and 21/16). ).
