The Bar Association said yesterday that it is waiting for the Chamber of Accounts to send its auditors to carry out the special investigation ordered by resolution No.DEC-2021-123, of July 23, 2021.
Miguel Surun, president of the guild, reported that this is the third time they have asked the Chamber to go to the guild to carry out such work, with the aim that “they can verify the efficient and transparent management of the private resources they receive.” He said that they set up an office for the auditors to carry out the process with the aim of facilitating access to all the information and documentation required.
“We are surprised that we have not yet received a visit from the auditors of the Chamber of Accounts despite opening the doors to them, calling them on several occasions and that they accused us of contempt,” he said. He affirmed that the Bar Association applies solid accounting controls and efficient management of incoming resources.
