Banxico anticipates that in 2023, the prevailing “complex external outlook” has continued to deteriorate global growth forecasts in 2023.
The balance of risks for the economy remains biased downwards given lower external demand, the expectation that trade effects will intensify, and bottleneck problems.
It is also worth noting that there are disruptions in the energy markets and a lower-than-expected recovery in investment spending.
For the creation of formal jobs, Banxico estimates that between 740,000 and 840,000 jobs with social security will be created this year and for the following year, it is expected that between 450,000 and 650,000 jobs will be created.
