THE ART OF BANKSY: “Without Limits” is an exhibition that pays homage to the unknown and controversial British artist BANKSY. The sample lands on Chili after touring different cities around the world and will be presented at the Cultural center Gabriela Mistral (GAM) from the May 25 to July 31, 2022.
The exhibition, set up especially for the exhibition space, includes experiential areas and more than 160 works by the artist, including certified originals, prints, photographs, lithographs, sculptures, murals, and video installations.
Considered one of the most influential and talked about street artists of our time, there’s no denying BANKSY’s popularity even though we don’t know his identity. The work of BANKSY provokes, shocks and even disturbs society, delivering powerful messages with poetry and humor.
In the exhibition you can see works by the artist carefully reproduced with his technique of “stencil” especially for the exhibition, including its creation “Escape”which originally appeared in Reading Closed Prison in England, and “Pulp Fiction” portraying the stars of the film Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta aiming bananas instead of guns.
The show also features a stunning reproduction of a London Underground station, immersing visitors in the world of London’s street art. BANKSY. In addition, viewers will be able to see a wall installation made by a renowned creative team, which represents the true spirit of graffiti art but this time inside the exhibition space.
THE ART OF BANKSY: “Without Limits” offers an original experience. The facilities of “dismand”the controversial amusement park recreated by BANKSY together with outstanding artists, the impressions of “Flower Thrower” Y “Kissing Coppers” and sculpture “Death of a Phone Booth”.
There will also be a section dedicated to Banksy’s activism related to immigrants, an “infinite room” that addresses political issues and a documentary video that recounts the life and work of Banksy. BANKSYall presented in a unique setting.
