Madrid Spain.- The first Hotel Planet Hollywood that will work in Dominican Republic It will be installed in Punta Bergantín, Puerto Plata, with financing from the Banco de Reservas, an entity that as of February will also allocate RD$150 million to finance other tourism projects, including the construction of a professional Skype Park for Olympic sports on the Malecón West Santo Domingo.
The details were offered at the Ifema site, where the International Tourism Fair (Fitur 2023) is held, by Samuel Pereyra, general manager of the bank; David Collado, Minister of Tourism; Jordi Pelfort Marques, president of Blue Diamond Hotels & Resorts; and the firm Planet Hollywood.
“For the Dominican Republic, this is a stellar moment, a great moment for our tourism, for the vision that we have been developing in the Tourism Cabinet and for the relaunch of Puerto Plata”, Collado said, referring to the signing of the letter of intent that will enable the installation of the US firm in Punta Bergantín.
In turn, Pereyra stressed that “the relaunch of Puerto Plata as hotel tourism begins to be a reality” with the Punta Bergantín project, where Banreservas acquired more than 9,000 square meters. He stressed that the president Luis Abinader and the Tourism Cabinet have been very involved in the development of the tourism, real estate and commercial project, which they said will be very ambitious.
He added that Banreservas will participate as a financial entity in multiple investments that will be made there, such as the Planet Holliwood Hotel, the first of several hotels in the tourist hub of Puerto Plata.
