He Reserve Bank headed the Financial Inclusion Ranking 2025 with a score of 89.4, according to a report prepared by the Superintendence of Banks of the Dominican Republic (SB), which evaluated the impact of actions aimed at promoting access to financial services in the country.
He reporttitled “Towards an inclusive and sustainable financial system 2025”analyzed the initiatives developed by Dominican financial institutions to facilitate the inclusion of vulnerable segments, as well as the existing challenges in terms of access, financial education and sustainability, with the aim of proposing solutions that strengthen a more equitable environment.
A statement from the institution indicated that its executive president of Banreservasdoctor Leonardo Aguilerarated this recognition as a reaffirmation of commitment of the institution with the inclusion and sustainability within the national financial system.
Aguilera maintained that Banreservas will continue to implement programs that allow direct access for Dominicans to all the financial products offered by the entity, in addition to generating new opportunities for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses.
“This result reflects the commitment continuity of our institution with the inclusionthe financial educationequity and access to opportunities for all Dominicans no matter where they are in the country,” he expressed.
Banreservas reported that, through its education and financial inclusionha shocked to more than a million of Dominicans, facilitating thousands of financial products, including savings accounts inclusive children’s programs, credit cards, as well as talks, training and the use of the MIO platform Banreservas for payment solutions from mobile devices.
The entity has also carried out banking days in vulnerable sectors of the National District such as Capotillo, Villa Juana, Sabana Perdida, San Carlos, Ensanche La Fe and Domingo Savio, as well as in provinces such as Santiago, San Cristóbal, La Altagracia, Hato Mayor and San Juan, where thousands of people opened savings accounts through inclusive and digital options such as Digital Account BanreservasMINE Banreservas and savings accounts inclusive.
