Around 600 requests for meetings and the opening of 70 bank accounts have been made in the first Representation Office that the Banco de Reservas de la República Dominicana (banreservas) opened in MadridSpain, on January 17.
The information was provided by José Obregón, Senior General Director of International Business and International Expansion and Governance of the banreservaswho also pointed out that 12 mortgage loan applications were received and are in process.
Currently, the new representative office is making a series of agreements with construction companies in the Dominican Republic that will promote their projects in Madrid for the purchase of homes in Madrid.
“Currently we are receiving around 25 people in our offices and all meetings are taking place by appointment”Obregon said.
He assured that the bank has been well received by Dominicans and other foreigners who have requested services in Spain.
Various procedures can be carried out at this branch, with the exception of cash deposits, since it is still in an initial stage of opening.
However, transfers can be made from another bank or with remittance companies, by sending a referenced remittance.
This is the first office that the banreservas opens abroad. The next one will be in New York.
