“The consummation of the operation is subject to various conditions, including obtaining authorizations by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, the National Banking and Securities Commission, considering the opinion of Banco de México and the authority in the field of economic competence in Mexico,” Banorte said in a statement.
Last April, Banorte reported that before the losses presented by the Digital Bank, he chose to sell his business.
“We lost a lot,” said the general director of the Financial Group, Marcos Ramírez in a call with media last April.
The bank’s problems began in February when it prevented users from entering the application.
