After the end-of-year holiday period, bank branches across the country will reopen this Friday (2) to serve the public in person, with normal opening hours to carry out banking operations.
In a note, the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban) reinforces that consumption bills, such as water, energy and telephone, due on days when there was no bank clearing (December 31st and January 1st) can be paid, without an increase, this Friday.
In the case of taxes and duties that fell due on holidays or on days when there was no bank clearing, the guideline is that payment should be made in advance, to avoid incurring interest and fines.
