After remaining closed during the carnival period, bank branches resume their activities today (2) from 12 pm, local time, with closing at normal closing hours.
According to the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban), in locations where branches normally close before 3 pm, the start of service to the public will be anticipated, in order to guarantee a minimum of three hours of operation.
In a note, the entity recalls that consumption bills, such as water, energy, telephone, and payment vouchers due on February 28 and March 1 can be paid, without addition, this Wednesday (2). Bank slips from customers registered as electronic withdrawals can be paid via Authorized Direct Debit (DDA).
Even with the return, Febraban guides customers to use digital channels, such as websites and bank application, for making transfers and paying bills on days when there are no banking hours at the branches.
INSS
This Wednesday, the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) resumes the payment of benefits for those insured who receive benefits of up to one minimum wage. According to the calendar, payment will be made for those who have 6 as the penultimate number of the benefit.
For those who earn more than one minimum wage, the payment of the benefit will start on March 3, for those who have 1 and 6 as the penultimate number, and goes until March 9, for those who have 5 and 0 as the penultimate number. The deadline for withdrawing benefits with a card is until the end of the following month.
