The company, which in November 2020 had inaugurated his Cancun-Cuba route, with five frequencies a week, specified through a release that “the company’s team made profound financial adjustments to improve its situation, however, in an adverse environment, aggravated during the COVID-19 pandemic, the measures taken were not enough to stabilize the company’s situation.”

Therefore, despite the financial difficulties experienced, the base salaries of the last year of each one of the collaborators were paid in full, pending the partial payment of some items attached to the salary that, at that time, were in process. payment via agreements”.

However, as mentioned The country, The Secretary of Press and Publicity of the Union Association of Aviator Pilots of Mexico (ASPA), José Alonso Torres, reported that the union will have a summons to strike for this Thursday afternoon in terminal two of the capital airport because, “although the firm has been paying them salaries and bonuses, it still owes them about 100 million pesos in benefits and liquidations”.

The document shared via Twitter by the airline reports that travelers who had tickets purchased to fly with Aeromar will be issued information once alternatives are available in agreement with the competent authorities, “who are aware of the situation.” .

Aeromar, founded 35 years ago and based in Mexico City, as he points out, “throughout these years, it has transported travelers of all nationalities between 26 different routes: 21 national destinations and three international ones.
