The secretariat explained that work is being done on four fundamental axes to achieve innovation, diversification and inclusion: 1) internal market, 2) employment, 3) sectors and regions; promotion of investment, international trade, and at the request of the private sector 4) competitiveness.
Work is being done on industrial policy, which will be presented in March, as well as on the development of industry 4.0 and technology transfer projects, Clouthier said. It will also seek to support the circular economy and strengthen value and supply chains in priority and strategic sectors.
He announced that a Made in Mexico campaign will be launched to strengthen local purchases and to “move” the economy with local purchases in sectors such as textiles and footwear. He added that the exportable supply will be diversified through free trade agreements with South Korea, Brazil, Ecuador and the United Kingdom, which will be ready this year.

During his speech, Enoch Castellanos, president of Canacintra, expressed his support for the timely payment initiative. “The big companies cannot generate profits at the expense of the small ones,” he assured.
Just as it is important that large companies pay micro, small and medium-sized companies on time, “it is also very important that productive state companies such as government agencies be an example in payment,” he said.
Castellanos said that the electrical reform has to be thoroughly discussed. “A good reform will be able to attract investments and ensure electric power for the next generations; might as well drive her away. The only thing we ask is that the voice of private initiative be heard”.
