With the incorporation of this alternative, the financial institution aims to enable its users to carry out contactless transactions in a faster and safer way. This is considering that they will not have to hand over their payment credentials, touch physical buttons or exchange cash.

To complete transactions, customers simply hold their iPhone or Apple Watch close to a payment terminal. Each purchase will be authenticated with Face ID, Touch ID or device passwordas well as a dynamic code unique to each transaction.
To further ensure user security and privacy, card information is not stored on your computer or Apple servers. Instead, a unique device account number is assigned.

According to César Prado, president of Banco de Bogotá, with the integration of this alternative, the entity aims to improve processes, as well as continue innovating and facilitating payments in an agile, secure and digitalized manner.
Apple Pay is accepted at supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, cafes, retail stores, and many more businesses. To set it up, users simply open the Wallet app, select the +, and follow the steps to add their Banco de Bogotá Visa credit and debit cards.
Once the user adds a card to iPhone or Apple Watchyou can start using the tool right away.
