Banco BHD León launched Responsible Finance, a financial education program developed to share best practices in financial management.
The initiative consists of training and the activation of a virtual community through which educational content created in a simple and plain language for the understanding of all people is shared.
The virtual community financesresponsables.bhdleon.com.do provides tools such as calculators and simulators, a financial dictionary, a blog with articles on managing finances and links to other web pages, such as Prousuario, which has an application to monitor financial profile of people in the banking system. The digital platform has a learning room from which virtual courses on various topics are taught.
Luis Lembert, executive vice president of Personal and Business Banking at Banco BHD León, stated that “we work to promote human progress, making responsible, innovative and close banking. With Responsible Finance we seek just this, contribute to the well-being of people and improve their quality of life. Educating about financial administration is adding to the economic and sustainable development of the country, our clients and our staff, as well as Dominican society.”
The Responsible Finance program of BHD León contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to the end of poverty, health and well-being, education, decent work and economic growth, reduction of inequalities, responsible production and consumption, and alliances for achieve these goals. This year is one of celebration and gratitude for Banco BHD León. The entity celebrates 50 years of its foundation as the first mortgage bank in the country.
