The bench of We are Peru held a meeting this Thursday morning with the President of the Council of Ministers, Hannibal Torres, at the headquarters of the PCM. As he left, the spokesman for the political group, José Jerí, gave some details about the issues discussed.
“There has been talk about requests for delegated powers to legislate on citizen security, it would be an option to respond against insecurity, but Congress will not give up its political control. We have told them that the national citizen security plan that currently exists is useless, let’s hope they can change it “said the spokesman for the political group, José Jerí.

In addition, he said that they have put forward a proposal to institutionalize a dialogue channel between the Government and Congress in order to resolve the governance crises that the country is going through.
“We have proposed, given the latest events, that it be institutionalized that, in the face of a crisis between Congress and the Executive, there be a space for dialogue between the president, the premier, the Board of Directors and the spokespersons so that we can reach an agreement and that there is no image we are just fighting”, he added.
This meeting takes place within the framework of a series of rounds of dialogue with congressional benches, prior to the presentation of the Ministerial Cabinet to request the vote of confidence on Tuesday, March 8.
