Congresswoman Ruth Luque (Democratic Change) announced that his bench will attend the dialogue meeting to which they were invited by the president of the Council of Ministers, Betssy Chávez, as a result of the confrontation between the Executive and the Legislative.
The alternate spokesperson for this bench indicated that they will attend the meeting with the objective of listening to the Government’s proposals in the short term for the benefit of the citizenry.
“Our bench has decided to attend this meeting with the aim of hearing what the priorities of this cabinet are, to find out what the short-term objectives are that it intends to achieve for the benefit of the population. We are going to go with that spirit of listening”, he declared for Channel N.
On the other hand, Luque was against the vacancy motion against the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, and also against a probable closure of Congress.
“We cannot precipitate any exit with any power of the State because I believe that this is not going to benefit the country. We have already lived experiences of this nature, where there was a president who closed Congress and months later it ended vacant. Those lessons we need to learn and value”, he stated.
“The date of the motion has already been taken so that the admission can be debated, which will be tomorrow, so if it is admitted tomorrow, the president will have to come and it will have to be voted accordingly”, he added.
Following the invitation sent by the President of the Council of Ministers, to all the groups in Congress, the benches of Alliance for Progress (APP) and Advance Country They have mentioned that they will not attend the dialogue with the Executive.
