The Meeting of the INSS Inquiry Joint Parliamentary Committee (CPMI) that was scheduled for this Monday (15) was canceled because the investigated Antonio Carlos Camilo, known as the Bald of the INSS, reported this morning through his defense that he will not attend the session.
The announcement was made by CPMI President Senator Carlos Viana (Somos-MG), and contradicts what had been confirmed by the investigated defense itselfthis Sunday (14).
“We missed the opportunity to hear today one of the main investigated in the scandal that diverted retired resources,” lamented Viana.

Since Friday (12), Antonio Carlos Camilo has been arrested at the Federal Police Superintendence in Brasilia, for alleged participation in an illegal collection of discounted associative tuition without authorization of retirement and pensions paid by the INSS.
The court’s decision encompasses businessman Maurício Camisotti, the target of the same operation of the Federal Police and who has a testimony scheduled for next Thursday (18).
CPMI has not yet been informed if Maurício Camisotti will attend the testimony.
In a statement, the defense of Antonio Carlos Camilo, the Bald of the INSS, clarified that “due to the existence of a police inquiry with the same object of CPMI, will give priority to the testimony before the Federal Police, considering even the unfortunate political climate within the committee, which has been seen during the testimonials already provided, which signals an unproductive hearing.”
