Balance Onemi: 11 active forest fires in the country and 37 homes affected

The National Emergency Office of the Ministry of the Interior (Onemi) carried out this Tuesday a balance on the forest fires that affect different sectors of the country. The agency reported 16 claims: 11 active and five controlled. In addition, there are 37 houses affected.

As detailed by Onemi, due to the cause of forest fire, there is a red alert in seven sectors of the country: Paine in the Metropolitan Region; Paredones and Chépica in the O’Higgins Region; and San Clemente, Molina and Río Claro in the Maule Region, and Monte Patria in the Coquimbo Region.

For the same reason there is a yellow alert for the O’Higgins and Maule regions. In turn, there is an early preventive alert in the provinces of Copiapó and Huasco, in the Atacama Region.

In Paine, as a result of a forest fire, there are six houses and four warehouses affected, in addition to two injured people. The incident has consumed 9.3 hectares.

The fire that develops in the communes of Molina and Río Claro has left a second home destroyed. The sinister has consumed 780 hectares.

Meanwhile, the fire in Monte Patria has left 30 homes affected. The sinister consumes three hectares.
