The National Tax and Customs Directorate (DIAN) a few hours before the end of the year announced representative advances in the foreign trade sector and also highlighted a series of situations that could have developed during the last twelve months. What were your main achievements?

Regarding the work of the Customs Operation Subdirectorate, they indicated that “managed a collection of $181,267 million as of November 30, which represents an increase of 47% compared to 2023. An advance that we celebrate,” they added.
They were issued 598 Tariff Classification Resolutions and 11 new reference prices were established. “In addition, 3 new exporters were authorized, making a total of 53. MMore opportunities for trade!”they added.
The DIAN also added that during this year 52 companies were authorized as Authorized Economic Operators and 462 revalidations were also initiated. Without a doubt, a strengthening of the different customs operations that have been carried out.

On the other hand, they recalled that in the last Customs – Company Meeting they managed to discuss the various strategies with which waiting times can be reduced in order to improve legal security within the framework of optimizing the use of the IT Service of Guarantees.
“The virtual filing of applications was implemented to expedite the Customs Registrywith 347 applications processed and 84 completed to date. “More speed and efficiency for everyone!” they added.
Finally, they assured that there were improvements in the management of customs records. “Storage capacity increased from 5,000 to 20,000 recordsimproving the consultation and certification of information”, they closed.
