Balance Covid-19: Minsal reports 7,366 new cases, 23 deaths and 45,621 tests in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health detailed 7,366 new cases, of which 3,920 correspond to symptomatic people and 1,012 did not present symptoms. In addition, 2,434 positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.

In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 4,737,212 and recovered patients reached 4,648,836. since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.

The death of 23 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 61,607 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 16.77% nationwide.

As for active cases, these reached 15,012 people and PCR tests amounted to 44,621 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 46,019,682.

Meanwhile, there are 98 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 63 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,878 critical beds enabled and 283 critical beds available.

Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 20.4%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Metropolitana, Biobío and La Araucanía.
